The Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO) board has announced that SAFCO Expansion Project 4 will go on stream beginning of April 2007 to add an annual capacity of 2.2 million tons of ammonia and urea which is equivalent to 76.5% of SAFCO’s total annual production capacity.



Mohamed Al-Mady, SABIC Vice Chairman and CEO and SAFCO Chairman and Managing Director, said: “This additional capacity will further strengthen the company’s competitiveness and will increase SAFCO’s annual production capacity to nearly 5.3 million tons which will positively impact shareholders equity”.
